How to make a quiz

  1. Open the quiz maker and give your quiz a title.
  2. Add questions one at a time, or paste a whole quiz as plain text with Quick add.
  3. Save it, then choose Play live. Everyone joins by scanning the code on your screen.
  4. Download the results as a spreadsheet when you finish, if you want them.

Twelve kinds of question

  • Scored: multiple choice, true or false, select all that apply, type the answer, number, put in order, match the pairs, and estimate on a slider.
  • Opinions, with no score: poll, rating scale, word cloud, and open answers that only the host can read.

What you do not have to do

  • No account. Your quizzes are saved in this browser. Nothing is uploaded until a live quiz starts, and it is gone from our server when that quiz ends.
  • No paid plan. Brain Bell has no pricing, no ads and no premium question types.
  • No lost work when you share. Send a quiz to a colleague as a link or a file, and they get their own copy.
